Siabhan K. Downs

Siabhan Downs is no newcomer to charitable humanitarian relief work. Before accepting the Chairmanship at Edge International, Siabhan served in several different positions at other organizations and has been on inspection visits to many projects overseas:

  • From 2000 – 2003 she worked as the Event Coordinator of Christian Child Care Inc.
  • As the Event Coordinator for Christian Child Care Inc., Siabhan helped coordinate and plan five extremely successful, consecutive Golf Tournaments and three Annual Silent Auctions/ Wine Tasting Dinners. Proceeds benefited The Bernie House, a transitional home for abused and neglected children and the non-offending parent.
  • During her university career she was honored with two major appointments. * Appointed by the College of Eberly Arts and Sciences to be the sole representative of West Virginia University for two consecutive years at the 2003 and 2004 Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference (NAFAC), in Annapolis , Maryland .
  • Appointed as one of two Head Delegates of The West Virginia University Delegation to the National Model United Nations, held in Manhattan , New York during the 2002-2003 school year.
  • Siabhan graduated from West Virginia University in August of 2004 where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. In addition, Siabhan earned a second Bachelor of Arts) with a dual major in History (with a focus in African and Middle Eastern studies and a major in International Studies (with a focus in International Business).
  • From August 2004 to present, Siabhan Downs has served as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Krest'anska pomoc det'om. She was also appointed Executive Director of Christian Child Care International and currently acts as the Executive Director of Krest'anska pomoc det'om.
  • As Executive Director, Siabhan hopes to expand the work of KPD by raising people's awareness of the plight of so many children in our world and to solicit their financial aid in order to assist our suffering brothers and sisters throughout the world.

Siabhan brings an expanded and fresh approach to Edge International. The inaugural event to kick off Edge's new mission is “Band Together.” Even before this event has been officially announced, people from as far north as Connecticut and as far south as Nashville , Tennessee are asking how they can buy tickets to this charitable fundraiser.

No doubt, Edge International will be a household name under the leadership of Ms. Downs.
