| Elizabeth Cissel
Elizabeth Cissel, as a first-time Board member, brings years of experience with charitable work and dedication. She has given many hours to craft shows, golf tournaments, wine tasting benefits, mailings and to the upcoming Band Together event. Elizabeth attended The University of Scranton, a Jesuit Institution, were she was again instilled with a desire to perform charitable work.
- In 2004, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in health sciences.
- In 2005 Elizabeth graduated with a Master's in Physical Therapy.
- In the fall of 2006 she will start work on her Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Throughout college, Elizabeth volunteered her time at St Anne's Soup kitchen in Scranton, Habitat for Humanity Scranton Chapter, Ronald McDonald House Scranton, and West Side Senior Center.
- She also tutored underclassmen in Anatomy a few times a week. In February, 2006 Elizabeth and 2 classmates presented their research at the Combined Sections Meeting for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in San Diego, CA. The research is titled "A Cross-Sectional Study of Balance-Related Measures with Older Adults who participate in Tai Chi, Yoga, or No exercise."
- She has spent the last year working as a Physical Therapist in Olney at Maryland Sports Medicine Center.
- As Secretary of Edge International, Elizabeth hopes to rally the younger generation more passionate about decreasing the violence, poverty ignorance and destruction throughout the world.
Elizabeth is a member of the APTA, the Maryland chapter and the sports physical therapy section of the APTA. Elizabeth resides in Montgomery County.
Elizabeth not only brings her many talents to help Edge but she brings her enthusiasm and dedication to helping those who are most in need. Edge feels very lucky to have Elizabeth as a Member of our Board.
